Take an intimate look at the impact of apartheid on a vibrant, multicultural neighbourhood. The Museum preserves the memory of 60 000 residents who were forcibly removed by the apartheid government in 1966. See touching reconstructions of home interiors, personal photographs, audio recordings and more. A huge floor map allows former residents to find the sites of their destroyed homes and sign their names.
